An original design* created by Jo Bale to encourage her agility dog to drive right to the very end of the seesaw plank!
The magnetised target is secured using a separate, loose magnet (one included with your seesaw target) that you stick to the end of the seesaw with tape.
The target measures approximately 75mm long, 20mm deep & 15mm high. Its small size makes it easy to secure to the end of the plank yet not be visible to the dog as it drives up the plank. This also makes it easier to fade the lure later on.
The short depth of the target & very strong magnets reduce the likelihood of the target being knocked off the end of the plank as it hits the ground. The flexi ring inside the target is designed to hold any food lure that’s used so even if the target is given a hard time by the surface (or the dog!!) the treat is unlikely to bounce out. These two issues often detract from the focussed behaviour you are trying to train.
The magnetic seesaw targets are made from a flexible plastic & available in a variety of colours & extra, separate magnets can be purchased if you want to leave one mounted to your seesaw & take a second on tour!
